The most important guideline to making hypnosis work
for you is this:  ACT AS IF.  Tell yourself - and others  - your story
as if you ALREADY have what you desire.  Repeat that new
story over and over and over again.   The bottom line is that if you
can't imagine and feel what you desire, how will you create  it?

I really enjoy being able to lead people in discovering the potential
they have inside.
Most people are unaware of their own inner resources.   So many
feel helpless to change the things they don't like about their lives.
It is liberating to know that each one of us holds the key to
creating the changes we want to see. I would love to show
you, too, how you can reach your dreams.

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a state of heightened awareness and focused concentration.  Some call
it trance; some call it an altered state of consciousness.  It is actually like
daydreaming, where your attention is turned inward, allowing you to be more open
to new ideas.

What Hypnosis is NOT

Hypnosis does not allow someone else to have control over your mind.

No one can make you do anything you don't want to do.

You cannot get lost somewhere (in your mind, or anywhere else) during hypnosis.

You will not be unaware of what you're saying or doing.  You will not forget, either, unless you choose to.

What Does Hypnosis Feel like?

During a hypnosis session, you will become extremely relaxed.  Your awareness of your surroundings can vary by person and situation.  Some people feel fully aware, some say that sounds fade in and out, and some people feel as if they have gone to sleep.  How you would react is totally unique to you and cannot be predicted ahead of time.

Hypnosis works with the subconscious mind to create results.  Your subconscious is the  part of your mind that stores all of your experiences, dreams, and beliefs.  It believes whatever you feel the strongest about, especially if that is constantly reinforced by you.  It
is like a tape recorder, repeating all that stuff you've been telling yourself for years.  Hypnosis reprograms those old tapes to bring you the results you are looking for.

Hypnosis is very easy to use, and requires very little from you.  To ensure success, bring
these with you:

A lot of people think that their work is done once they walk into the hypnotist's office,
but the truth is that you and the hypnotist must work as a team in order to create change. The hypnotist leads and guides, and you are responsible for doing your part by committing fully to the process, believing in the changes that you will experience,
allowing yourself  to relax fully, and following through with suggestions.

Your subconscious mind will be working to see that you reach your goals after you've made the deep and sincere commitment to change.  Remember, your subconscious believes and takes literally whatever you tell it.   So, focus your strongest feelings on success.

what I'm going to do yet, but I am certain it will be OK."  KF, Chehalis, WA

About Me

As a consulting hypnotist and a comfort therapist, I am passionate about the energetic aspects of hypnosis and therapeutic touch.  Some of the changes I've seen have been truly amazing and awe-inspiring.  For me, there is nothing better than to see the pleasure on the faces of clients who have reached their goals.

I received my hypnosis training from the Threshold University of Body/Mind Science in 1997. Although the school no longer exists, my hypnosis intstructor, Asara Lovejoy, is teaching and pursuing her own growth.

My primary therapeutic touch teacher, Betty Green, was a well-known nurse in the Seattle area for many years.  My current mentor, also a nurse, is Janet Goldenbogen-Self.  She lives and works in Port Townsend, WA.
